Diploma of Retail Management (SIR50107)

This qualification is part of the Retail Training Package. It has been designed for those who hold or wish to hold higher management positions. These roles would involve providing support to senior management in a larger retail outlet or being responsible for the management of a retail store.

Seven elective units are to be undertaken. The specific units will be determined according to delivery mode or employment requirements.

Course Duration

Distance Learning - up to 12 months (this mode of delivery is self paced).

Entry Level

There are two alternate pathways for entry into this qualification:

1. be recognised as competent against the following units of competency:

SIRXCOM001A Communicate in the workplace
SIRXIND001A Work effectively in a retail environment

Plus

SIRXCCS003A Coordinate interaction with customers

Or

SIRXSLS004A Build relationships with customers

2. have sufficient relevant wholesale or retail employment experience

Recognition of Prior Learning/Exemptions

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) can be attained in a number of ways. This includes any combination of formal or informal training and education, work experiences or general life experience.

To gain RPL, our assessors must be confident that you are currently competent against the endorsed industry competency standards or outcomes in accredited courses. The evidence may take a variety of forms and can include formal qualifications, references from past or present employers, testimonials from clients and work samples.
