Diploma of Training and Assessment (TAA50104)

The TAA50104 Diploma of Training and Assessment is a Nationally Recognised Training qualification and is a suitable for those working in the assessment or delivery of competency based training and also for those working as Training Coordinators, Administrators or Managers.

ELECTIVE UNITS (EXAMPLE)

TAACMQ504B Determine and manage scope of training and/or assessment services
TAADEL504B Lead and coordinate training services
TAADES502B Design and develop learning resources
TAADES505B Research and develop competency standards
TAATAS501B Undertake organisational training needs analysis
TAATAS502B Prepare a tender bid
TAATAS503B Manage contracted work

Seven elective units are to be undertaken. The specific units will be determined according to delivery mode or employment requirements.

Course Duration

Distance - up to 12 months (this mode of delivery is self paced).

Entry Level

To be eligible for this course, students must have completed the core units of the TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or be able to demonstrate equivalent competence.

Candidates for this course are expected to read and interpret Training Packages, develop and document learning programs and assessment tools, present information, facilitate within a number of contexts using a range of skills, and prepare various records and documents. Therefore, Engligh language skills suitable for these tasks are required.

Delivery Mode

This is a distance learning program combining online learning, manuals and assignments. Precise Training will regularly contact the student to monitor progress. Personal coaching is available at any time and regular review meetings to discuss progress will be held on a one-on-one basis.

Students undertaking this program will need to have access to a practice environment. If the student is not currently working in a training environment, they are advised to discuss this with the Training Coordinator at the time of enrolment so that alternative arrangements can be made.

Recognition of Prior Learning/Exemptions

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) can be attained in a number of ways. This includes any combination of formal or informal training and education, work experiences or general life experience.

To gain RPL, our assessors must be confident that the student is currently competent against the endorsed industry competency standards or outcomes in accredited courses. The evidence may take a variety of forms and can include formal qualifications, references from past or present employers, testimonials from clients and work samples.
