Certificate III in Retail (SIR30207)

This qualification is part of the Retail Training Package, Retail Operations Stream and provides training for employment as a sales representative. It provides advanced training for more experienced employees in the retail industry in specialist product areas and staff supervision.

Seven elective units are to be undertaken. The specific units will be determined according to delivery mode or employment requirements.

Course Duration

1. Traineeship - the program is delivered over a period of up to 36 months.

2. Distance Learning - up to 12 months (this mode of delivery is self paced).

Entry Level

There are two alternative pathways for entry into this qualification:

be recognised as competent (through a recognised training program or recognition process) against all core units of SIR20207 Certificate II in Retail; or

have suffient relevant retail employment experience.

Recognition of Prior Learning/Exemptions

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) can be attained in a number of ways. This includes any combination of formal or informal training and education, work experiences or general life experience.

To gain RPL, our assessors must be confident that you are currently competent against the endorsed industry competency standards or outcomes in accredited courses. The evidence may take a variety of forms and can include formal qualifications, references from past or present employers, testimonials from clients and work samples.
