Certificate IV in Retail Management (SIR40207)

This course has been designed to develop the first line management skills of those working in the retail industry. It applies to those who are managing a small retail outlet, or a section or department within a larger retail store.

Seven elective units are to be undertaken. The specific units will be determined according to delivery mode or employment requirements.

Course Duration

1. Traineeship - this program is delivered over a period of up to 36 months.

2. Distance Learning - up to 12 months (this mode of delivery is self paced).

Entry Level

There are two alternate pathways for entry into this qualification:

2. have sufficient relevant wholesale or retail employment experience

Recognition of Prior Learning/Exemptions

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) can be attained in a number of ways. This includes any combination of formal or informal training and education, work experiences or general life experience.

To gain RPL, our assessors must be confident that you are currently competent against the endorsed industry competency standards or outcomes in accredited courses. The evidence may take a variety of forms and can include formal qualifications, references from past or present employers, testimonials from clients and work samples.
